EFT – Free Alternative Health Care For Everyone?

In these economic times, health care is one of the biggest issues and concerns facing not only Americans, but people all over the world. Many people are actually being forced to choose between rent, food, and gas – or health care. Nobody should have to make such choices; but, even if you can afford health care and medical insurance, wouldn’t it be nice if you could solve most of your problems at home – at no cost, risk free, and possibly in minutes rather than the time it takes to drive to the doctor’s office and sit and wait and be seen, etc? Believe it or not, EFT has given me, and many others, exactly that gift – free, safe, quick, and effective, do-it-yourself health care.

So, what is EFT; and why do I say it’s free? Well, EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) is a kind of “emotional acupressure” technique that helps turn-off the stress response and changes the way your body reads and responds to stressful or traumatic memories – just by thinking about the troubling issue or problem while tapping on some acupressure points. There’s a little more to the technique than that, but not much. You can literally learn EFT in a few minutes. Best of all, thanks to some free manuals and demonstration videos, you can learn enough about EFT to use the technique effectively on many of your own issues, problems, and symptoms – for free. And, once you know the technique, you can use it any time you want. The technique is always the same; the problem, or focus is all that changes.

Best of all, EFT is not medicine; nor is it invasive in any way. Using EFT doesn’t mean you can’t approach illness the way you did in the past; it just means you don’t have to – you have an easy alternative that’s safe, inexpensive, and highly effective with EFT. You can still go to the doctor’s office when you are experiencing anxiety; but, if you use the EFT technique on the way there, you are likely to pull into the doctor’s parking lot and wonder why you’re there! EFT is not intended to replace medicine, or medical advice; but, since the APA has estimated that perhaps as many as 90% of all trips to the doctor’s office are due to stress-related complaints, you’ve really got nothing to lose by tapping on your face and hands while calling your doctor – and you just might solve your own problems.

Developed in the mid-’90s by Gary Craig, EFT has quickly become one of the most popular forms of alternative medicine in the world – used every day by a growing number of physicians, psychiatrists, and therapists of all types. But you don’t have to be a physician to use EFT; anyone can learn this technique in minutes and begin using it to erase fears, phobias, allergic response, stress, anxiety, limiting beliefs, negative self-talk and even chronic health issues. College, Professional, Pan-Am, and Olympic athletes use EFT to help them with performance anxiety and distractions; and professional golfers use EFT to cure the “yips.” EFT is an alternative that has worked for millions of people with thousands of different problems. EFT can be used on anything because it is painless, quick, and non-invasive; in fact, the worst thing that can happen with EFT is that it just doesn’t seem to work. Then, you’re no worse off than you were when you started; and you’re always free to address your situation from any direction you choose.

Choose Alternative Health

Alternative health practices are gaining popularity simply because they work. Conventional health care treats diseases that have already struck, alternative health care seeks to create and maintain the best health while stopping disease and physical ailments before they begin. Old fashioned methods of keeping healthy are worth another look. That is why alternative health regimens are becoming popular again. The most coveted benefit of alternative health methods is the holistic approach taken by practitioners. The idea that the mind body and spirit work together to maintain wellness.

Health

Alternative medicine is the fastest growing segment of the health care industry in America. Alternative medicine offers amazing benefits such as increased self-awareness, abounding peace, feelings of “centeredness,” and increased mental and physical health. The best alternative therapy or health products for your individual needs can be researched at Alternatively-Healthier.com. Without researching appropriate alternative health methods your wellness, peace of mind, and well-being can suffer, leaving you feeling “stuck” with conventional health care methods that you may feel are too invasive.

Body

What does your body need to function properly? Many people are attracted to alternative physicians emphasis on treating the whole person body, mind and spirit. Chiropractic is one form of alternative health care, or complementary and alternative medicine, that focuses on the structure of our body, specifically the spine, nerves, muscles and all their related functions.

The primary concept of Chiropractic is that the misalignment of the spine (subluxations) is the cause of many disorders or illnesses in our body. Chiropractic treatment primarily involves the use of hands to manipulate and adjust the structure of our body and it does not make use of any surgery or operation in treating spinal and muscular related ailments. More importantly, patients who take the natural approach believe that they are more in control of their health and body.

The Holistic Approach

Considering that some scientific research shows that around 80% of health issues are caused and/or negatively affected by stress and over 90% of today’s cancers have an environment cause, seeing health care as a holistic enterprise begins to make sense. Alternative health care professionals emphasize holistic health care for their patients.

Alternative health practitioners study holistic medicine in-depth through the study of disease and pathology, anatomy, energy healing, physiology, herbal medicine, detoxification, homeopathy, iridology, orthomolecular holistic nutrition, flower essence remedies and a host of natural medicine practices. There are both degreed and non-degreed programs in holistic medicine.

There are many natural medicine schools that give basic workshops and seminars in holistic practices for the public at large. Sometimes, you can find a beginner’s look into self-massage, homemade herbal remedies, natural vitamins and supplements, reflexology and more.

Holistic health zeros in on the Mind-Body-Spirit connection and how it interacts with the environment. More than eating organic veggies or taking yoga, alternative health is about gaining optimal health. The difference from conventional health care is the search for creating good health and preventing disease and physical ailments from striking all together.

The increased popularity of alternative health is a bonus to chiropractic medicine as an inclusive part of regular health maintenance. The differences from technology to alternative medicine is a strength in our world. We are responsible for our health and it is good to remember that there is always a choice in medical care. Alternative health continues to grow as we seek holistic solutions to our health complaints so we may hold on to a better quality of life for more years than previously thought possible.

Alternative Health Care: Use the Power of Your Mind to Change the Spin of Your Chakras

Research is demonstrating the amazing power of your mind to influence both your body and the energy centers in your body known as chakras. Through your thoughts you can dramatically alter the chemicals your body manufactures. Recall a wonderful walk on the beach and your body responds as if you were there. The neurotransmitters and hormones for peace and relaxation are formed. The opposite is true. Recall something negative and your chemistry changes so that you can better handle what is interpreted as a dangerous situation.

Change the Spin of Your Chakras with Thought and Intention

Your chakras are sometimes called emotional centers in the Western world. These are not something you can see unless you are what is called clairvoyant. If your hands are sensitive you can feel them if you focus on the palm of your hand when hovering over a chakra. For instance, you may place your hand just above the center of your chest to feel the spin of your heart center.

Just as your thoughts can change what is happening in the chemistry flowing through the brain and blood stream, you can also change the spin of your chakras. When you gain experience and trust you can do this, all you need to do is form the intention to have them rotate in the correct direction. In the Northern hemisphere they rotate clockwise and in the Southern hemisphere they move counter-clockwise. If you’re watching water spin down the drain you’ll notice the same differences depending upon what part of the world you live in.

Playing with the Vortex

When I was a child watching the water go down the drain in the bathtub I used to put my finger in the vortex formed. I was fascinated. You can do the same thing with these emotional vortexes in your various physical locations within you. Place the palm of your hand just a few inches above your solar plexus area. When you experience fear you often experience pain in your stomach or have what some call “butterflies in your stomach.” This is the solar plexus emotional center.

Now imagine a clock sitting on your abdominal area. If you are in the Northern hemisphere move your hand from 12 to 1 to 2 and so on the imaginary clock. If you are in the Southern part of the world, go the opposite direction. While you’re doing this, have the thought in your mind that this emotional vortex within you will move in the same direction. With experience you will notice the difference. Soon you will be able to do this simply with thought.

You feel best when everything is flowing correctly. When your colon is backed up you won’t feel well. The same is true for the unseen energy field around and within you. If it isn’t moving in the correct direction you will experience discomfort and not even know the cause. By having all the chakras moving the correct direction you will physically feel more at ease.

What is Alternative Health?

All over the world people are getting older all the time, and even though modern medicine have found many ways to deliver health care, more and more people look for alternative health care.

Lots of health insurance solutions nowadays contain the option to seek alternative advice and health care, if the usual channels, does not solve your problem.

A typically well educated doctor has spent around 11 years in college and as a resident to earn his medical degree, but even though our doctors are well educated, they do not have all the answers.

An M.D. is bound by several limitations, both in what he is allowed to work with, and within the belief system he has developed in his professional environment. When your daily life and teachings all evolves around strict science, lab analysis and the like, it is only natural that some of the alternative treatments seem far fetched from an M.D’s point of view.

While most medical doctors treat you on basis of your symptoms, most alternative treatments looks upon diseases as systemic conditions. What appears to be the reason you feel sick, may very well just be the result of an underlying problem within an internal organ or even a psychological issue.

The alternative practitioner in my opinion keeps an open mind, and in most cases try to go behind the symptoms, to figure out what is really going on, and instead of just treating and removing the symptom, they work on removing the root cause of the symptom, and thereby completely eliminating the disease for good.

An example of this could be if you have been frequently prone to bronchitis, what would usually happen when you go to the doctor, is that you would probably be prescribed some antibiotics to bring the infection under control. An alternative health practitioner, would take more of a holistic approach, and probably view the bronchitis as the symptoms of an underlying weakness of the immune system, and treat you accordingly.

Hypnotherapy, Homeopathy and Acupuncture in Alternative Health Care

There are many alternative health care options including hypnotherapy, homeopathy, acupuncture and reflexology to name but a few.

During a hypnotherapy session the subject is put into a trance-like state by several different methods. The hypnotist then makes various suggestions in order to change the subject’s sensations, thoughts or behavior. The results vary from person to person, depending on their susceptibility – in many cases it can be very successful.

Homeopathic treatments are based on using very small amounts of a substance similar to that which may have caused the problem initially. This is said to stimulate the body’s own healing powers. This alternative therapy has its detractors but there is no doubt that it appears to work in some cases. This form of alternative health care has been around since the 18th century and has sometimes been described as ‘like cures like’.

Reflexology is an ancient Chinese form of alternative health care. Areas of the feet are manipulated with the therapist’s fingers and thumbs, not needles as with acupuncture. The therapist stimulates certain areas of the feet and this relates to corresponding parts of the body. It can be used to treat stress, chronic back pain and infertility for example.

Herbal remedies play a large part in alternative health care. There are hundreds of different types and they can be used to treat a wide range of disorders. However, care must be taken as they can react with conventional medicines. Many conventional medicines are, in fact based on herbs and plants. Digitalis (used for treatment of heart disease) comes from the foxglove and the painkiller Aspirin derives from willow bark. Herbal remedies are widely available from health food shops and come in the form of tablets, capsules, ointments, and teas amongst others. If your problem is more complicated it is possible to visit a practitioner. Take care when choosing a practitioner as anyone can set up as a herbal practitioner. Choose one who belongs to one of the professional bodies that regulate standards.

Ayurveda is another alternative health care tradition originating in India. With Ayurveda traditional herbal remedies are used in combination with yoga, massage, diet and meditation – a very holistic approach.

Many therapies including occupational, speech and physical can be carried out in the comfort of your own home. These therapies are invaluable for rehabilitation after a stroke or accident. Most medical insurance policies will support home health care.

Home health care is also available for mainstream patients. Qualified professionals can give help with pain management, changing dressings and care after illness or injury. The advantages are enormous – saving the time and expense involved in travelling to a suitable medical centre, preserving quality of life and privacy for example.

Studies have shown that patients receiving home health care recover more quickly than those who are cared for in institutions. A better atmosphere and the reassurance of being with family and friends all help the recovery process.
